Administrative Program Coordinator

The Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center (SWLAHEC) is hiring a full time Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support to Louisiana’s Provider-to-Provider Consultation Line (PPCL), a statewide program that provides telephone-based consultation, training, and support to perinatal and pediatric providers in addressing the mental and behavioral health concerns of their patients. The Administrative Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Program Manager and conduct the administrative tasks necessary to carry out program activities. The office domicile for this position is in Region 4.  
Duties:
  • Performing general administrative and clerical support tasks in support of program activities;
  • Providing assistance to the PPCL Program Manager and staff as needed;
  • Technical assistance and administrative coordination of PPCL’s ECHO training sessions and other training events for healthcare providers;
  • Serve as administrative liaison and/or contact person for the program between SWLAHEC and other partner agencies and organizations;
  • Attend program related meetings and take notes;
  • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of program newsletter, reports, and materials;
  • Managing inventory of program supplies; purchase supplies and equipment when needed;
  • Monitoring program work plan in Monday.com;
  • Managing program email and calendar;

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s or associates degree related to business administration preferred;
  • At least three years of experience in which clerical work was major duty;
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including Outlook, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Effective problem solver;
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in public health or health care.

 

Location:

Domiciled in Region 4 with office location being SWLAHEC. Occasional statewide travel for meetings and outreach activities. 


Compensation:
Salary Range: $31,221-$43,701 dependent on education and experience. A competitive benefits package is offered to all SWLAHEC full-time staff, including medical, dental and vision insurance, employer contribution to 401k retirement plan, and generous paid leave.
